Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the church vehicles, to preparing the church bulletins.

Mission/Outreach/Evangelist Ministry

The purpose of the Evangelism Ministry is to mobilize the entire Church body (every member) to fulfill the Lord Jesus Christ’s mandate for His Church to make disciples of all nations, which is the Great Commission as stated in Matthew 28:19, 20. We have implemented a systematic, comprehensive and practical Evangelism program at our church. The theme of the program is “Winning Souls for Christ”. The program divisions consist of Personal Evangelism, Auxiliaries/Ministry Evangelism, Outreach/ Visitation Evangelism, Evangelistic Outreach and In-reach Evangelism. Every member can actively participate in each division of the Evangelism program. Throughout the year the auxiliaries and ministries of the church conduct evangelistic outreach, during their missionary efforts. The program also includes Evangelism training for all new and current members.

Music & Drama

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music and drama ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the Praise and Worship Team. Still others get involved in drama. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in video and audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook and Twitter feed for additional church communication.

Marriage Counseling

Marriages can be difficult to maintain. Misunderstanding, confusion, resentment, and anger can flare up in any marriage. Apostle Wanda Tommie, Pastors Robert and Regina Donaldson, and several couples at our church serve other families as marriage counselors. Their role in listening, understanding, helping, and encouraging struggling couples has, by God’s grace, saved marriages, and repaired relationships. Couples have found fresh hope and new joy in a warm and fulfilling relationship with their spouse.

Prayer Warriors & Intercessors Ministry

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, intercession and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, volunteers from our Prayer Warriors and Intercessors team pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.

 The Porter’s Ministry

The Porters exist to serve the membership and visitors of Flames of Fire Eagle Church in any capacity in a Christ-like manner. We facilitate these tasks under the direction of the Head Porter. This Porter will lift Christ up at all times, and serve our fellow man. We will carry ourselves as those called to this specific office. The Porters meet the third Tuesday each month at 6pm in the sanctuary.

Hospitality Ministry

The mission of the Hospitality Ministry is to provide a warm Christian atmosphere while welcoming worshipers and rendering Five Star service with Christian love. Our purpose is to: 1) assure guests of  the IFOFEM Family is happy they have chosen our church for their worship experience; 2) to treat each guest as a potential member as we offer a warm, friendly, positive atmosphere; and, 3) relieve as much “guest stress” as possible to help attain a mind ready for the worship experience. The Hospitality Ministry meets quarterly in January, April, July, and October. Our ministry is open to anyone at least 12 years old.

Through Bible Studies & Classes women will build a strong foundation on God’s word, learn Biblical truths, and establish real relationships. Our mission is to create a community of sisters in Christ through love, discipleship, and service to one another. Through prayer & care women will love one another, relate to one another, and serve one another.

Men’s Ministry

The Flames of Fire Eagle Men’s Ministry is a movement of men pressing forward in our journey of faith. We all have obstacles to overcome; obstacles of addiction, fear, shame, or doubt. In the face of such opposition even the idea of stepping out in faith can seem overwhelming. The good news is we don’t have to do it alone, God is with us and our men’s ministry is here to encourage and stand with you. We’ve seen time and time again lives changed, marriages restored, healing for brokenness, and triumph over tragedy. Let these powerful testimonies encourage you that you’ll see God do amazing things in your life as you step out in faith.

Flames Of Fire Dance Ministry

The FOF Dance Ministry enhances the worship experience through basic praise dancing and mime. The ministry brings our youth and adults together to show an alternative approach to ministering to our congregation.

Praise and Worship Ministry

As the worship ministry, we believe Psalm 22:3, that “God dwells within the praises of His people”. Worship is not just a song, a band, or an environment, but it’s about coming into God’s presence to bless, praise, and adore Him for who He is and what He’s done for us.

Our ministry is important, offering us opportunity to enter into the presence of God in a way no other ministry does. Music allows people to engage in an expression of thanks and praise to the Lord in one of the ways he asks us to, through raising our voices and singing to him a new song (psalm 98:4, psalm 40).

Connecting to the Worship Ministry is unique in that everyone shares in our ministry and the work of it. You can participate as a vocalist, instrumentalist, sound technician, or all of the above! If you would like to know more about how to get involved or to setup an audition,  Contact our P & W Pastor, Dr. Wilhelmina Lyons after service.
